Payments and invoices
How Cadence charges you: Paystack in ZAR, monthly or annual billing, promo codes at checkout, and where billing is managed.
Cadence takes payment through Paystack, a South African payment gateway, charged in South African Rand. Billing is set up and managed in the Cadence desktop app by the organisation owner, which opens a secure Paystack checkout in your browser.
How payment works
When your 21-day free trial ends, or when you choose to subscribe, the organisation owner starts the subscription in the Cadence desktop app. Payment runs through Paystack, so you use a familiar South African checkout, and every charge is in ZAR. After that, your subscription renews each month or each year, depending on the interval you chose when subscribing.
Promo codes
If you have a promo code, enter it at checkout. A valid code reduces the amount you are charged. Apply it before you complete payment: the discount is reflected in the total you confirm.
Where billing is managed
Everything to do with paying for Cadence happens in the Cadence desktop app. You can view your plan status on this website, but all billing actions (subscribing, switching interval, managing your card, and cancelling) are done in the app. This keeps billing actions inside the same tool you use every day.
- Starting or renewing the subscription is done in the desktop app.
- Only the organisation owner manages billing. Admins cannot pay or change the plan. See roles and permissions.
- The website shows your plan status as a read-only view. No payment is taken on the website.
For what you are actually paying for, see plans and pricing. To change what you pay, see managing seats.
