Signing in

Sign in to the desktop app with the account you created when you first launched Cadence. Your role and organisation load automatically.

You sign in once, inside the desktop app, with the account you created when you first launched Cadence. There is no separate app password and no web dashboard to log into -- one identity covers everything.

Open Cadence and sign in
On first launch the app asks you to sign in. Enter the email address and password you used to create your account.
Use your Cadence account
Sign in with the account you created when you first launched the app. If a colleague shared a join link with you, you will have already joined their organisation via the link, and your organisation and role load on sign-in.
Your organisation and role load
On sign-in, Cadence loads which organisation you belong to and what role you hold -- owner, admin, or member. Your role decides what you can see and change. See roles and permissions for what each one allows.

A role change needs a restart

Your role loads when you sign in. If an owner or admin changes your role while the app is open, quit Cadence and open it again for the new role to take effect: it does not switch mid-session.
