Integrations overview
Integrations are optional and per-user. Connect your calendar from your own settings inside the desktop app, or use Cadence with none connected.
Integrations are how Cadence fills in the context around your tracked time. They are entirely optional, set up by each person individually, and Cadence works fully whether you connect anything or not.
Optional, and per-user
There is no organisation-wide integrations switch. Each person connects their own accounts from their own settings inside the desktop app. Your connections are yours: a colleague connecting their calendar does nothing to yours, and you can leave everything disconnected and still track time normally.
What you can connect
- Google Calendar: so your meetings line up alongside your tracked time as read-only context for the day.
- Microsoft Outlook calendar: the same read-only context, for an Outlook or Microsoft 365 calendar.
- Apple iCloud calendar: the same read-only context, for an iCloud calendar.
How connecting works
Calendars connect the same simple way no matter which provider you use: you copy a private link (an “iCal” or “ICS” link) from your calendar, and paste it into Cadence. Cadence then reads that calendar to show your meetings as context. It is read-only, so Cadence never changes your calendar, and the link is stored only on your own computer.
Privacy stance
Integrations are first-party: Cadence talks directly to your calendar provider on your behalf, and your data is not handed to any third party. Calendar links are stored only on your device. For the wider picture, see your data and what Cadence tracks.
